USS Fletcher DD445

USS Fletcher, named for Admiral Frank Friday Fletcher, was the lead Fletcher-class destroyer, and served in the Pacific during World War II. She received fifteen battle stars for World War II service, and five for Korean War service.

1/144 scale Revell kit with Aber turned barrels, G-Factor brass propellors and Eduard 'BigEd' photoetch, finished in MS12 Mod camouflage with Stynylres, Lifecolor and Vallejo acrylics, weathered with Ak Interactive products and artists oils. I modified the hull to replicate the so called 'oil can' effect, also known as 'warf rash'.
